OCDS™ – a photonic detection platform for critical infrastructure

What is OCDS™?

The Optical Coherent Detection System™ (OCDS™) is an advanced monitoring system based on integrated photonic detection. The platform uses a single optical fiber as a linear sensor and enables the simultaneous analysis of multiple physical phenomena affecting infrastructure conditions.

Multi-domain detection in a single platform

01

Temperature measurement

Continuous temperature distribution along the monitored section.
02

Vibration analysis

Detection and interpretation of mechanical changes in the infrastructure’s surroundings.
03

Sound analysis

Recognition of acoustical events and patterns of operational significance.

Coherent detection and advanced data acquisition

OCDS™ leverages advanced coherent detection systems and data acquisition technologies, enabling the processing of very large volumes of information in real time. This approach enhances observation precision and delivers a high level of overall system sensitivity.

AI and distributed deep learning

The data collected by the system is analyzed using AI algorithms and distributed deep learning models. This enables the identification of characteristic acoustic and dynamic patterns and supports operators in faster recognition of critical events.

Security and readiness for critical infrastructure

OCDS™ has been designed for use in environments where data security, reliability, and operational resilience are critical. It is a solution built for scenarios where standard monitoring approaches prove insufficient.

Real-time data analysis

The system processes very large volumes of raw data and transforms them into insights that support operational decision-making. As a result, monitoring goes beyond simple signal recording and becomes an active tool for enhancing safety and operational continuity.

Deployment model and MaaS

Depending on the operator’s needs, the solution can be deployed in a Monitoring-as-a-Service model, which facilitates project initiation without the need for high upfront capital investment at the start of the collaboration.
